Question from Motor Manufacturer K:
We have a 36V 370W brushed DC motor with a wire diameter of Ø0.85
mm.
Could you please advise on the maximum acceptable value for the
welding resistance in the resistance measurement device?
What should be the maximum welding resistance to ensure the wound
rotor is free of any issues?
Wind Automation reply:
The maximum acceptable welding resistance would setting a maximum
limit of 0.1 mΩ is appropriate,
When the welding resistance is 0.3mΩ , the motor will be risk of burning which is caused by high current
as a high resistance,
